Artist statement
I am a Devon-based artist working under my studio name The Illustrarium. Inspired by hedgerows, seasonal blooms and historical decorative traditions, I create botanical paintings in acrylic gouache, watercolour and pencil, often framed by decorative borders. My work combines colour, pattern and ornament inspired by nature.
