Artist statement
This is not the stuff of nightmares,
although the presence of night and the
liminal is always there. Rather these
original wood relief and photopolymer prints are conjuring’s suggestive
of the way things could or might
be. These are mutterings from the
shadows. Like botanical prints they
depict a sense of place, or of things
that might exist in that space.
Extended Bio
Sue Wyllie is a printmaker who uses a wide variety of print processes including woodcut, Lino,
photopolymer, photo etching, etching and mono printing to explore her ideas. She is an elected
associate Member of the Royal Society of Painter/Printmakers and a prize winner at 2025 Flourish Print Award.
