Artist statement

I’m a multidisciplinary artist creating tactile objects that invite touch and curiosity. Alongside interactive installations, my ceramics include tactile vases, intricate wall hangings and imprinted bowls, focusing on organic textures of networks found in nature. I also run workshops including exploring experimental ceramic techniques using natural forms.

Extended Bio

I am a multidisciplinary artist working across ceramics, interactive installation, drawing, creating tactile works that invite touch and exploration. Alongside creating interactive installations, my ceramic practice includes tactile vases, intricate wall hangings and imprinted bowls, all focusing on organic textures inspired by network patterns found in nature. I run ceramic workshops from my studio, offering a range of sessions including experimental approaches to working with clay and engaging with nature. My practice emphasises connectivity between materials, environments and people. Responding to an era when much of our lives are experienced through technology and digital screens. While many of us may interact with our devices constantly, they offer a limited and uniform sensory experience. My work seeks to counter this by creating spaces where visitors can engage through touch and play, encouraging a more exploratory way of interacting with our surroundings. Living in a rural environment, I am drawn to both natural and human-made networks, such as rabbit warrens, root systems, railways, and footpaths. These interconnected passages reveal patterns shared across species and systems, highlighting the relationships between our environments and experiences. Through this my work creates space for reflection and curiosity, inviting audiences to slow down and reconnect with their surroundings.
