Artist statement
Come and see a Bathroom transformed with mosaic, inspired by land and sea, incorporating hand-made ceramics, shells, pebbles, sea glass and more.
There’ll also be works in ceramic, mosaic, metals and watercolour pencil in this welcoming home and garden which will be my workspace for the duration of the open studios event.
Extended Bio
Delving into areas of mosaic, woodwork, sign making, ceramics, metalwork, watercolour pencil and more, Melissa explores ways we can bring the Art of the hand-made in to our daily lives.
Inspired by patterns and shapes we find throughout our natural world her work aims to reflect something of the unseen but heartfelt forces which permeate our world and beyond.
