Artist statement
Moody, atmospheric landscapes evoke a deep sense of time and place. Working in oils, I paint plein air, carrying my easel outdoors along the Jurassic coast, through rolling hills and across expansive farmland, observing ever-changing conditions. Insight gained through direct observation informs larger, final studio paintings.
