Artist statement
James - a ceramic sculptor creating handbuilt organic and spherical forms using carving and saggar firing. Surfaces reveal rich texture, fire markings and subtle tonal variation. Catherine - black & white photos shot on 35mm film and printed in my darkroom. All images are composed in the viewfinder & are uncropped once the picture has been taken.
